Your Response ΒΆ

My first thoughts on this passage regarding the form and structure are as such.

EARTH. It seems that humans are presented with a choice in thought and action. These choices are rooted in the understanding of the unity as a whole or the program or illusion of separation. The pursuit of desire is equal to the pursuit of separation. πŸ”Ž There is a certain discernment necessary to understand whether a certain desire or behavior is of pure self centered desire or if it can be beneficial to the whole. The further someone is trapped in the notion that fulfillment comes from filling desires, the more the separation grows and the more the chance to succumb to the desires appears.

WATER. The way I feel about the information at hand is that the πŸ”Ž pursuit of self centered desires leaves veils of unfulfillment over the beholder. Where as if the beholder is to identify the desires as simply distractions they focus on the fulfillment with in. Desires based living leads to always being in the state of "want" where as union based mindset and inner focus seems to be leaning towards the cultivation of what you want is already with in. The way to uncover and let the within shine through is to notice that the entertainment of such desires is a pull away from your core truth of union. By discarding these selfish needs you are slowly degrading the self the in total. It almost may be fair to say that πŸ’‘ the self you define yourself as is just a bunch of layered deep selfish needs and desires that you feel make you whole when in actuality it is the realization that you are not the desires but way deep beneath them.

FIRE. My personal thoughts about how this correlates in my life in general is πŸ’‘ how does one attain the balance to live a joyful creative and adventurous life, embracing the human experience while also knowing the truth of the pursuit of union. Are we all supposed to give up our clothes and move to cave and eat rice or does this battle of the push and pulls reveal itself as a mindset we cultivate and if so are there certain question we can use to ask as filters to discern whether or not a desire is self centered or a pure expression of joy and freedom.

AIR. The overall take away from this is Truth. The truth that we are all one. πŸ’‘ One mechanism, one piece of machinery with the same oil pumping through our gears. The more we live with this fact as a background to our thoughts actions words, movements the more we move with the flow of how things are. The more we realize that are selfish desires are against the true nature the universe the more we align with the true power of it. I still feel uneasy on how to continuously live in this truth.

Early Feedback ΒΆ

Well that is a grand opening for the assignments. Technically a paragraph β€” but really a couple of pages worth. You've done your time well in the Mooland. Now just briefly, I'll return to this to fluff out a couple of thoughts from everything you shared. Really an excellent start to what we're talking about. Reflection and introspection are core to so much of what makes the path tick and roll, practice without introspection is hollow. Will return to this with more time. (We then covered more ground over a phone call.)
